Cresent Lake Park

I love going to Cresent Lake park. It's just so relaxing and it was a beautiful day out today. Went with some coast guard wife friends, although at this point they are my "friends" :) I have known Ali and Erin for almost two years now and Beth for a little under a year I believe. Ali has a baby boy who is 3 months old and I love his little smile. Erin has baby Porter who has the prettiest eyes and the cutest cheecks, he's 9 months old and Beth has baby Addison who is 3 weeks old and just so tiny and pretty. I wish I had been able to take some pictures but my batteries died this morning and I had no extra ones. Here's the link though for those of you that may have never heard of it and end up living in St.pete one day.

My kids are all older, they like to run around and roll in the dirt. Today Olivia decided it would be a fantastic idea to chuck her shoes off at the playground and run around barefoot. Of course Aubrey decided to join her and I became that mom who had barefoot children at the playground and people start to wonder why I would let my children do that.

Truth is I'm a pretty mellow mom but even I'm against barefoot children at the park, you never know if there's glass laying around or a piece of mulch could stab their feet. But my girls have their own minds like any two year old and sometimes fighting with both of them can be exhausting.

After we enjoyed the beautiful day outside at the playground we walked over to Panera to eat some lunch. I love Panera! They have some delicous options even for myself. Being a vegitarian can sometimes be a pain even for myself, finding the right type of food to eat is not always easy. My kids love panera as well and this time they really loved it because I caved and let them eat a cookie. I just wanted to sit for five minutes and talk with my firends. I dream about that day where I can go to a restraunt and not have to chase my children to the opposite side of the building, or wipe up yogurt they squirted all over themselves. Thank God Logan is old enough to behave so well when we go places! I don't want to be the type of mother who doesn't take her kids places and that just sits at home doing nothing. I want them to explore any and everything that they can and if I can enjoy time with my firends then it's even better!

After we parted ways I took my tuckered out children back home and made some phone calls. I finally set up a meeting with CCC for Logan's VPK enrollment. I've been telling myself that I'm going to do it and after I saw that my best friend Chantel got her 4 year old son enrolled I knew I needed to get a move on. It'll be so exciting picking a school for him to attend in the fall!

Tonight for dinner were having leftover chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries and peas. For some crazy reason my kids actually LIKE peas. I'm always looking for those small blessing and today I have found many. Although strange here they are: I feel blessed that my children love the feel of grass between their toes, I feel blessed that I can take them to a restraunt and they actually eat some of their food, I feel blessed because I know that my son has options to actually go to school and I feel blessed because my children actually like certain vegtables...like Pea's.
