Back in May before Scott left for his 2 month patrol we took our Son Logan t his first ever Major League Baseball game! All three of us were so excited! I played softball growing up and just love the game and the feeling you get when your at a baseball game.
We live in St.Pete, FL. so we root for the Tampa Bay Rays. The were playing the Yankees that night. Game started at seven so Logan and I were starving. Scott had eaten dinner at work. I was very excited for Logan to eat his first "baseball hot dog", not sure why but there is nothing like a hotdog at a baseball game! I'm a vegitarian so I opted for a delicous, huge soft pretzel with salt and mustard. A favorite of mine especially while pregnant.
This picture just makes me laugh! He could barely finish the whole thing!
The view from our seats.
Logan & Scott making silly faces!
We all had such a wonderful time! Logan got up and sang the 7th ining stretch song with us and "Root, root rooted for the hoooome team!" right along with the crowd! It was a close game at first but the Rays lost to the Yankees. It made Logan sad but we told him that's how it is in sports-you win some, you lose some! Scott & I both had such a good time teaching him the rules of baseball. Logan only knows T-ball rules and he liked learning how the "big boys" played. ;)
One of my favorite memories for sure with my guys, we can't wait for the next game-hopefully the Rays will win this one!
